OUR MINISTRIES
Sixth Street COGIC has the following ministries available for you to serve. "God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them." Hebrews 6:10
Prayer
Prayer is an invocation or act that seeks to activate a rapport with GOD through deliberate communication. We pray when we enter the sanctuary. We pray throughout our morning worship and mid-week services. This is to give reverence, honor and thanks to GOD for all that he has done and is doing in our lives. It is also a means to come before GOD to repent and ask for forgiveness of our sins of commission and omission.
Nursing Home

The team assist with transporting residents.

During the thirty-minute service, they may sit with the residents and serve as "page turners" for the hymnals.

After the service, they assist residents as they return to their rooms.

The team also facilitates in-room visits for those who are unable to attend the service.
Sunday school
Sunday School helps children respect, appreciate and utilize the Bible. It plants spiritual seeds. Sunday school will improve your bible knowledge, and help you build meaningful relationships. It provides a place to belong in a class.
Youth
Student ministry should be purposeful, active, engaging, and spiritual. For it to be biblical, it needs to follow the model in 2 Timothy 3:16-17—students being mentored for character, instructed in doctrine, and equipped for every good work so that they will engage in effective ministry.
Music
A key component of the Music Ministry is the praise and worship portion of the service on Sunday mornings or other functions when called upon by the pastor. The significance of praise and worship is of profound importance in the lives of the children of God.
Community service
Reaching into the community and providing various services. Our goal is to meet every need as it is divinely authored and sanctioned by God. Our major resources are the gifts of the "Holy Spirit.
